Model A Day car show was held in the Amana Colonies in Iowa yesterday. GREAT display of Model A's. Great setting for a Model A show.....

The Amana Colonies by themselves are a great place to visit (wine, woolen and wooden products, fantastic food, etc.) add Model A's and it must have been a great day.

I didn't count them but I would say probably 75 or so....maybe more. They closed one of the streets in the historic area and they were lined up on both sides. I wish I had taken pictures.

Curt & JBR - The official count was 81. That was down from last year (95), but suspect unpredictable weather and economy had something to do with it. Unfortunately there were 11 pre-registered A's that were unable to make it.

George - Thank you for posting the pictures. As soon as our web-master can collect the pictures, he will post them on our web site.

Did you have your car there? That was my first model A outing. LOVED IT! My wife said I couldn't stop smiling when I first saw all those great cars in one place.
I saw you at a distance but you were busy.

George - Yes, my car was there. A '29 Fordor (Briggs body w/orange wheels & orange pin stripe); it was about the 5th or 6th car from the east end.

By the way, did you get to meet Dennis? He is the show's committee chairman, and I seem to remember he said he talked to you (it might have been on the club's Pella tour in May).
