Default 64 ranchero spindles

going to disk brakes on front possibly rear my question is can I get bearings for the 8 cyl hubs to mount on 6 cyl spindles or do I have to switch to 8 cyl spindles also are the balljoints different on 8 cyl. this car is a 6 and appears to have small bearings on rear axel would this be the same as an 8-9 inch there is a swap using crown vic mounts and calipers that seems good any input would be great we all know how fast these 6 bangers are good brakes are a must

I know on some of Falcon platforms, the front spindles are a larger diameter on V8's.

Use 63-66 falcon v8 or 65-66 mustang v8 spindles. Also, you can use granada/monarch spindles, however the steering arm angle is just different enough that you can end up with bump steer. The ball joints are the same v8 to 6, the tie rod ends, idler arm, pitman arm and center link are different
The 8" rearend on the same year falcons and mustangs will bolt in. 57-59 big ford 9" housings will work if you can find one. Also a "k" code 65-66 mustang 9", but it will cost more than the rancho is worth. The oe 6 cyl. rearend won't stand much abuse.

The rear axle may be the small 7.5 inch on a 6 cyl car so the rear conversions for an 8 inch probably won't work. An axle upgrade may be on order.
