406/427 FE engine and 4 speed toploader

Looking for a cross bolted mains Ford FE engine, nothing smaller than 406 cu in. and a toploader suitable. Thanks

I have a non cross-bolt 406 listed in the late v-8 a couple if pages back. I have a 64 police block I can set up as a 406 with cross-bolts for another 1000 on top of the 4000 for the listed blueprinted 406. (Same motor/better block). Ford aluminum 4v intake/windage tray/solid rocker spacers add on 500. 63 3-spd toploader incuded for free..

You've got a 64 police block with cross bolt mains.What is it a 390?

390 solid lifter block. Sonic test shows 4.17 max bore out w/.130 walls left. 406 only requires 4.13 leaving very consistent .150 walls. I know of an FE used in dyno testing with .100 walls, that the guy has not been able to blow it up. Listing is under Big Block FE Ford Stuff/Some Shelby/Some Vintage Full Size Ford. Has been bumped to the first page.
