Default Operating temp of Cragar OHV head

I recently installed a new modern 10-fin per inch core radiator in my Model A. It has a vintage Cragar OHV head on a Model B block. With my old clogged up and leaky radiator, readings from my hand-held laser thermometer read 230 degrees right on the Cragar head adjacent to cylinder #4 (the hottest point on the engine ).

What should be the highest temp reading on the Cragar at normal operating temp (not via a temp sender on the outflow or of the radiator coolant)?

I am looking for the normal reading taken at the hottest point on the overhead valve head itself closest to the firing chamber. I am NOT looking for the normal operating temperature of a stock Model A .

Anyone know OHV conversions well? Maybe Jim Brierley?

BRENT in 10-uh-C probably knows. You could PM him if you don't get an answer here.

At the head itself? or read from the coolant outflow sensor?
