Tudor body value?
I've started a new project and am working my way through the chassis right now... but I haven't completely decided the path for the body.
I'm leaning on doing a huckster but I have a tudor body....and it has some hot rod mod already done to it, like the firewall and rear wheel wells. So...I have lots of options. The one question I can not answer, and scouting around the internet has only given me a very wide range, is what the body is worth if I were to decide not to use it. (verses chop off the back and use just the front.... and would there be any value to the back...etc, etc, etc) Can anyone help me narrow it down in value to aid in deciding among my options? |

You could throw caution to the wind, list on ebay for a dollar and see what the market says. I don't have that kind of courage.

Re: Tudor body value?
if it is a really nice body and all the fabrication is well done along with the body work, to the right guy it should be worth at least 3 grand and possibly more.
I would ask the question on HAMB with what has been done to it they are more likely to be interested in it. Todd |

Re: Tudor body value?
Why not throw it on the chassis and run it? A tudor is very conducive to weather, besides they're great for picking up sweathearts! Psst....don't let your wife and girl friend know.

Re: Tudor body value?
I agree with Todd. I would put pictures on the HAMB and advertise it there. The Cowl has major mods and would be less expensive to just replace the cowl if you planned to use it on a real model A project. The gas tank has obviously been modified beyond use as a tank. The hot rod guys often buy restored or good model A's and just use the bodies. Your body appears to already have the mods that the hot rod guys want. It should bring a few thousand like it is for a rod project.

It's all set for the rod guys and would need too much undoing to use as a stock body. |

Re: Tudor body value?
Great, thanks for the feedback and the steer toward HAMB..
I'm leaning towards selling it at this point. |

The big trouble I see is in describing exactly what mods were done. Mods, I would think, would lower the value. The stock guys would not want it and the hot rodders might not like the mods already done and see additional work to be un-done and re-done.
