The NY DMV doesn't enforce, it's the insurance companies that may step in.
Our policy has a 2500mi/yr clause that is not enforced unless it's being abused. Our agent said in 30yrs he's never had to cancel a policy.

Here in Ontario, Canada the cost is $18 per year. For my wife's Sentra its $96.00 per year so for my Three Girls... Betsy, Mrs. Cleaver and Baker its just $54 for the 3

I must be in another Illinois.

I received my Illinois Antique License Plate / Registration for 2015 a few weeks back;
I just sent it in yesterday.

My Cost: $30 for two years for my 1937 Ford (expires Dec 2016).

I am interested in the Extended Antique Vehicle Registration but it was not listed on my current Registration card as an option.

I don't know how you'll get it switched over. Give a call to your local DMV. There is a form you have to copy off and sign, you might have already done that with your AV plate, I don't know.

$20 to register a Model A in GA for a year (well, until my birthday in July, then yearly). No need to apply for a title for a car older than 1963.

Wanted an Antique Car tag until I found out they cost $80 for no benefit other than the tag.

Is a YOM registration/plate offered in GA?
Permanent plate 2yr, registration in NY.

Commonwealth of Massachusetts:
Yearly registration fee for ANTIQUE plate - $50
Yearly exise tax - $5
Yearly safety inspection - $29 (I think it has actually gone up a couple of $ so now more)

Yes sir, California Sucks for car registration. $100.00 for the '47, $90 for the '28, $129 for the '54 all have year of manufacture plates....... and that's PER YEAR. I think rock bottom is around $80 a year for any car.

My '33 Tudor was last licensed in Oregon in 1963 prior to moving out of state. In November 2012, I put it back on the road in Texas. It cost me $144.00 to register it with a license, etc. good until March 2013, 4 months time. The car has YOM plates and the March 2014 license charge was $61.00 for five (5) years. They gave me a small tag with 03 18 to bolt on the rear license plate. $5.00 per year is pretty good.

Things are good in TEXAS.

Point of reference, My 5 year old F150 is still over $300 per year.

Well its nice to know that something is cheaper on this side of the pond as we pay zero to keep our elderly cars on the road in terms of taxes and attract very favourable insurance rates as well .

Yes....but look at all the well maintained ribbons of frustration you have to creep around on out there.
