The Henry Ford
I stopped buy "The Henry Ford " Friday to pick up a Christmas gift at the gift shop(they have tons of great stuff in there). I though I would run into the museum real quick and check out the Model A's they have on display( My wife gets a family membership to the museum and village every year as a benefit from work, lucky for me, as i use a lot more than she ) . I was surprised to find only 1 "A" on display, a 30' Phaeton. So I checked out a couple of my favorites, the " Exploded Model T" and the Quadracycle. What a great place to spend an afternoon.

I was hoping to get there next year but it looks like it will have to wait.

Re: The Henry Ford
Although The Henry Ford is a great museum it is a bitter disappointment to those expecting to see lots of Ford cars.

The Model A Museum located at The Gilmore Complex in Hickory Corners MI will give you a wonderful time looking at all kinds of Model As. A great place to visit if you haven't been there. The big event for the Model A museum is the third week end of September but it is open year round and currently has Model A #1 on display, as well as many other examples of Model As through the years of production.

Re: The Henry Ford
The museum is a great place to go once a year, but to me the best 'exhibit' the HF has is called Old Car Festival which is held annually the weekend following Labor Day.

Re: The Henry Ford
Nest time your there check out the Ford flathead powered dragster. We donated that several years ago. The closest thing I have at the present to a Model A is a Economy tractor powered by a Model A motor

Re: The Henry Ford
As Skimmer Bob noted: My wife and I toured the Ford Museum, Ford Factory tour and the Ford Greenfield Villege, this past summer (2014). Spent three days there. We, both were very upset to see, ONLY ONE "A" on display. All in all, everything else seemed OK, but with the history and continued use of the Model A vehicles, one would think, they would have an extensive display. To sum up the Ford Museum - it was a poor showing of a number of things. Especially, they only had a very few Ford cars on display. I would think, they would display most of the complete Ford line of cars and trucks, at least as they changed through out the past years.
