Need help on early ford flathead

I am new to the ford scene, my grandpa had an early ford 2-door. It has a flat head and it says overdrive on the trunk. It has clutch pedals in it as well. The serial number is *B3MG-144459*. Can anyone help me find out what year it is and any other info??

Can't help you much without a picture or two.
That would show us what it is, and also what the condition is.
That will help us determine value, as to whether its worth restoring or parting out.

At least pull and save the motor and transmission. 20 years from now you may want to build a vintage rod and you could have the soul of grandpa's car in it.

I still regret selling my grandfather's car. I would buy it back if I could locate it.

At least it went to a "car guy"...so there's a chance it's still alive and driving.

Anyone know of a 2-door '69 LTD in the Cleveland, Ohio area, originally copper with a black vinyl top, black interior? Body was near mint except for some theft damage to the passenger door and trunk lock. I sold it around 1998

Get it running...drive it for a least 60 days.....take it to a couple of cruses...then decide.

Well I don't think it has been on the road since 1966. I know it will need floor pans and the drivers side rocker I know for sure. I dont know about the frame, I can't get under it right now. I am looking at having back surgery pretty soon, and that makes it hard for me to evaluate it like I need to. If my health was better,(I'm 37 and had 2 other surgeries this year) I know I would so something with it. I don't want to speak for it if I can't do anything with it. It is mine if I choose for it, but my cousin is cleaning up his property and wants it gone. I do have first dibs on it and I have a little bit to make a decision! I will try to post some pics as soon as I get them transferred from my phone.

Jamie, The M in the serial number means it was built in Memphis so it has not ventured too far from home. The G and your picture indicates a Tudor. You could lots of rust to deal with.

Here in pa we call that a cream puff. Doesn't look like any rust through on outer body.

There is a little rust through on the drivers side rockers and between the door and the fenderwell on the left quarter. Other than that there is no rust through. The floor pans of course I didnt see them but figure on them as my grandpa used it to store stuff. The car is complete and all trim is there. I can keep it, I just have to move it to another location and won't cost me a thing. I just don't want to keep it and never do anything with it and let it rot even further. I happened to find a facebook post that my cousin wanted it gone. I contacted him and he didn't even think about anyone wanting it. He was actually going to drag it across the scales along with the other cars out there and someone suggested he try and sell it. I already have a 67 chevelle ss that we restored so I know what is involved in restoring a rust bucket, haha. So there is no blind side here as to the amount of work it will require. What would one of these even bring restored?? Maybe not a trailer queen but a nice presentable ride.

Find it a dry place inside, clean it out and up as best you can, put a tarp over it and when when you can go back to it.
