1928 Tudor - Tie rod replacement
Hello,
if I am going to assemble a new tie rod, would I have to turn left and right tie rod ends the whole way to the end of the both threads of the tie rod? I am asking because ot the following wheelalignment. BR Stefan |

Re: 1928 Tudor - Tie rod replacement
If you need to go to either extreme of the tie rod threads on both ends, then the steering arms are drastically bent. Normally, about half of the threads are left exposed on both ends of the tie rod. Start out that way and adjust to achieve the proper 1/16" to 3/32" toe-IN adjustment.

another question as I found different length of springs in my tie rod / Drag link. I also ordered new at snyders, but these are a bit longer than mine. Do you know the orignal length of the springs in the tie and drag link? Are the spring in tie rod and drag link the same? BRStefan |
