36 radiator
Feedback needed about a radiator in a 36 pickup?
My core and header need too much work...looking for a new radiator. I am trying to stay as original as possible and be able to drive it whenever I want. The Walker fill neck is located out the back of the header and the original cap appears to become a dummy. I don't think I can live with a dummy anything on the truck. Does Brassworks utilize the original fill neck? Is it possible to use a stock radiator and minimize overheating problems in Texas heat? If so, I may be looking for a stock radiator if somebody has one. Thx Steve |

Re: 36 radiator
Most radiator shops these days will tell you your radiator is not repairable simply because they aren't equipped to repair them. All they can do is pull the old one and install the new one like any teenager can do.
You need a real radiator repair shop, able to recore your original tanks. You'll maintain your originality, have excellent cooling, and get out much cheaper than with a new replacement radiator that will never be as good as old tech.

Re: 36 radiator
The challenge is a previous owner altered the inlets and the header beyond recognition. I have a radiator shop that has been around for 25+ years and can recore if a had one worthy of a recore and the reason and I am on the hunt for a radiator...new or original.

Re: 36 radiator
A used radiator or tanks shouldn't be too hard to find, try Anderson Air Cooled he advertises 35-36 truck parts here.
