Default How to Free Up Door Lock Cylinder

What is the best way to free up a door lock cylinder. I have the correct original key that used to work the lock well. It appears to be an original die cast type. Thanks for any suggestions.

A few shots of Kroil should do it. Put the key in and twist it from time to time. It worked on an old padlock recently.

I also think Kroil would be good to free it up, and then if it was mine, I'd use a few drops of ATF to keep it lubricated. I know someone will say don't use oil because it will attract dirt and gum up the works. I've used ATF on many ignition switches and door locks for my cars, and never had a problem.
