Default side window glass weatherstripping ?

I'm installing my side window glass in my 30 Murray front doors and do not have any weatherstripping which would stop the rain from entering the inside of the door when the window is in the up position, I've looked on line to try to identify a part number but to no avail. Would anybody know where to purchase this weatherstripping and a suppliers part number ?
Thanks much
tom

The doors on the Murray are the same front and back.

Snyder's; "On Murray Fordor bodies, both front and rear doors are the same dimension other than the curved portion of the lower rear door. A Murray would use 4 of the A-19008-4DF."

I might be reading this differently but I am interpreting that Tom is asking about any seal that would be on the outside of the door to keep rain from dripping down, inside the door. The part that is mentioned in the earlier post is on the inside of the door glass, which doesn't really keep rain out since that is on the inside of the door/glass. There is not any seal on the outside of the door glass that would prevent rain from dripping down the door. The rain just drips in and then runs out the bottom of the door. There is the side window tracks and the previous mentioned door seal.

"The rain just drips in and then runs out the bottom of the door." ......

My doors do not have any holes in the bottom for rain to run out. Did original cars have drain holes ?

Yes, one at each end of the door on my 29 Tudor. I don't recall if there was another one near the bottom center, and can't look at my car now.

There is no outside "seal" on the door glass of that body. The rain runs down the glass and exits the drain holes in the bottom of the door.

Wow - its hard to believe that Henry would allow that big of a gap between the glass and the door edge, Oh well it was 1930 after all. I did order some of the A-19008-4df, at first I thought they installed the rubber at the wrong angle, but then I referred to a picture in How to restore your Model A , volume 2, page 65, I found where the wood section was to install the A-19008 which is inside the regulator case.

With that said, I consider the mystery solved, however, I wont leave that large opening like that . I'm thinking there must be a product available which they would use on modern cars the fill the opening with.

Does anyone out there in Model A land know what I could use to close the gap ? some type of felt product maybe ?

Thanks

Tom: Did you ever solve the issue with the gap between your Murray window glass and outside door panel? I am replacing my window glass/channels and so am in the same situation right now. As far as I can see, there is no reproduction of the correct weatherstripping for this gap. I need to find some kind of alternative weatherstripping to put in the window channel gap to fill this gap. Thanks!

For clarification, the weatherstripping I am referring to is the same as this post by Marco Tahtaras in 2010. I do not know where to get a hold of this stuff.

I would check with some of the restoration supply places for newer cars.
From Marco's picture, that looks close to the weather stripping used on my 1950 Studebaker trunk.

Good Idea, Tom,
steelerubber.com makes LOTS of rubber stuff, for LOTS of kinds of cars.

Metro Rubber in the Twin Cities only deals in rubber parts for old cars. Give them a call with some dimensions and tell them it's cross section is shaped like a square number 6.

I don't know if this helps you any but I used this side glass setting rubber I got from Bratton's. Even tho it says it's for a Slant Window sedan it filled the "gap" on the side windows of my '30 Briggs Town Sedan. Not original but looks better IMO.

The Briggs also calls for this piece; Sorry can't help on the Murrey.
