Re: 1938 ford dash parts
Difference is in the thin surrounds around the dash center ( radio speaker area ) and sides ( ashtray, choke etc ) that are chromed. Deluxe have ridges while the standard ones are plain..

Re: 1938 ford dash parts
1938 Dash had Mahogany Finish for the Standards, and Walnut Finish for the DeLuxe. If I can find them, I may have both a Standard and a DeLuxe Radio Blank-off Plate, also the Cigar Lighter parts. These are the Originals (No Repros).

Re: 1938 ford dash parts
I remember seeing a '38 deluxe at the tip in the 60's after a young guy had hit a telegraph pole side on and it was about to be buried by a bulldozer.
It had previously been owned by an old lady. The original interior broadcloth was mint as was the dash with the beautful woodgraining. I would have rescued it, if I'd had the time and money. What a crying shame. |
