What oil is used in the steering box? My car has the trip meter on the speedometer but I see no way to reset it to 00.0 Any help on these question would be appreciated.

Re: 35 ford
There is a little knob on the back of it, just push in and turn to 00.0. Be sure and manually pull it back out after setting.

Re: 35 ford
I once used the heavy weight gear oil but it leaked out too quickly. I then switched to 50/50 gear oil and STP. That work a little better but still too much leaking. I now use just STP and that's staying in the box much better. What I plan to try next is John Deere Corn Head grease. I have heard this grease works very well in steering boxes and universal joints.
