What is the correct oil weight for the steering bx in a 1935 ford car?

if the seal still works most people use 140 wt gear lube, some try putting grease in it if it leaks but that just does't work, will not stay on the gear face.

I once used the heavy weight gear oil but it leaked out too quickly. I then switched to 50/50 gear oil and STP. That work a little better but still too much leaking. I now use just STP and that's staying in the box much better. What I plan to try next is John Deere Corn Head grease. I have heard this grease works very well in steering boxes and universal joints.

John Deere corn head grease is in the steering box of my 8N tractor. It is doing well in there.
