Smile for: too many cars

Bill: I enjoyed your interview with larry mongillo at the klinberg show last night. It was on nutmeg TV, plainville, ct. CH5 on comcast cable. Nice interview and nice show and nice day. Take care.

Paul, I know Bill and he didn't mention the meet but I would like to see the interview. He's done some great restorations, has had his 29 tudor since 1962 and it looks super in gloss black with a red stripe.

Barry B.? Ma.: That's the car he had at the Klingberg show, father's day wk/end. I was parked next to him but must have been wandering around when the interview was done. Hope he got to see it.

Ask Bill, he'll tell you. I think it's because he restores them then doesn't want to let them go. As we speak he's reluctantly trying to sell his mostly original 29 roadster. It's called "thinning down the fleet".

Thanks Paul. I remember the interview now that you mention it. Funny how I can remember all the details of the 1971 New England Meet, but forgot all about that interview. I have charter, not comcast, so I cant see the show. I would like to have seen it. When I was interviewed about 10 years ago at the Greenwich Concours, it was about a 28 Franklin I had restored, and the local station sent me a video tape of the interview. One never knows how well they will look when presented, as the interviewer gives no clues as to what they will say or ask. It takes some quick thinking to respond without making too much of a fool of one's self.
Barry is right, I have too many cars, and the sick part is if I finally sell one, I usually get another. The Assessor's office hates to see me coming at tax time. It takes two pages to list all my stuff. (the tax collector loves me however). The roadster is for sale, so I can replace it with something newer that is safe for the interstate. I dont want to modify the roadster for the interstate, but would like to make longer trips without spending days and days on back roads to get there. A newer car seems like an alternative, so the roadster is on that evil internet site we all hate.
