Re: How many English 1932 ford V8's Built
You bring up an interesting topic. On a similar note. I own several 1933 model Y cars
I have a roadster and a original 2 door and also a 2 door that I will resume restoration . These cars share many similar parts as the big 32's .. If any of you in England or Europe have model Y 's can we get a thread going. I will start one next. |

Re: How many English 1932 ford V8's Built
If you mean built as in "with English-built V-8 engines", then the answer is none as Dagenham only produced four-cylinder engines during the elongated '32 model year in Europe. If you mean built as in "with V-8 engines from Canada or the U.S." that information is contained in the Ford Production Department's monthly record titled "Assembly Record Types" which exists in the archives of the Benson Ford Research Center in Dearborn, Michigan, U.S.A. This record contains the monthly production by engine type by body type by assembly plant world wide and will show the number of V-8 vehicles assembled at Dagenham for the extended European '32 model year (i.e. in the 1932 calendar year and beyond).

Re: How many English 1932 ford V8's Built
Luke,
If you strike out at the BFRC (or elsewhere), I have a copy of the record that I mention in my earlier note. The only problem is that I'm away from it for the rest of winter. If you're still seeking this information in the spring, please send me a PM in late April or early May. David |

Re: How many English 1932 ford V8's Built
English built 2 & 4 door sedans all had suicide front doors, like the USA built 32 Three Window Coupe. So, if you see a 32 Tudor Sedan or Fordor Sedan with suicide front doors, you know that it is English.
