Default New guy from NorCal

How's it going everyone? Just thought I'd do a little intro for myself. I'm part of the other boards and with the newest acquisition to my stable I thought I'd share it with you. Just picked up this 1959 Ford Fairlane. Nice little cruiser that I can wrench on and stay busy with. Let me know what you think!

That's a neat looking car. Personally i would break the colour up a bit with a white roof. They also look better with all the stainless IMHO.
I would get the handbrake sorted out. It looks a bit off, putting a block of wood behind the wheels.
Anyway it is a great place to start from.
Regards

Be still my heart, (pitter patter), I wish I could afford a complete repaint like that.

Great looking car. To me bodywork is the hardest part with any project, someone did a lot of work.

Welcome!

Hey now, I have a block of wood exactly like that one to keep my '55 Courier from rolling away.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Thanks for the concern on the brakes. The pic was taken the day I bought it and didn't really know how the brakes would hold up. Got them adjusted and working great. Plans for now are get some white on the roof (possibly with a little flake), Rewire under the dash (Kinda messy for my taste), Keep searching for trim and just drive and enjoy it!! Thanks again guys!

You are lucky to get hold of such a great looking car to start with. My 55 looked like it had been in a shed that the roof collapsed on and was then let out in the weather. Taken off the road in 63 and parked up. Typical sunburnt California car. Will be a bit longer before it gets anywhere near as good as yours. Keep the faith.
