Default 61 Ranchero fuel filler

With the fuel filler nozzles of today, am looking for ideas on modifying the nozzle receiver so the pressure is relieved when filling the tank on my 61 Ranchero. I'm currently looking at a Jeep CJ receiver. Has anyone tried modifying the fuel input on the early Ranchero and wagons? Any input would be appreciated.

On our '41 ford with a "Tanks" plastic tank, with a vent, we had trouble with gas backing up the filler pipe . Just learned to go slower. Our '60 fairlane has a vent tube that comes up by the filler pipe, behind the license plate door. You make also have some kind of vent and it may be plugged up.
