Merc 1939 axle in a 32 frame need help with torque tube lenght

What's the advantage of a '39 rearend in the '32? Seems like a lot of work for a result that makes you go down the road all the same?

Not trying to be an antagonist or smart donkey here BUT I am STILL trying to figure out......"IF" he already "have a complete 39 Mercury axle", why did he need the torque tube measurement, couldn't he just measure the rear end he has???? BUT what do I know???

the 39 axle center section is not the same size, the swap is not bolt on and the torque tube on the 39 is way longer ths need to be reduced.

I "think"??? Through 41. I have the torque tube and shaft and ring gear I picked up out of a 40 Mercury that is one piece.....SO at least through 40.
