Do you have point grease on the rubbing block of the points ? It looks pretty dry to me !

yup. As the rotor turns counter clockwise from the front view I usually put the lube on the back side of the left (drivers side) points rubbing block and the front side of the right points rubbing block. That is why it is not visible on the right points (passenger side) in the picture.
