drivers side door latch
Has anyone put a bear claw door latch on a 56 ford car, if so how do they work and how hard are they to install.

There are installation videos on youtube.com check those out so you can actually see what is involved and what tools are required.

I may eventually fit a set as I am a bit concerned about the safety aspect of the 55 door locks. There is as much modification needed to fit 56 locks so the bear claw latches are a better option. You can buy complete mounting kits with latches.
