radiator
Are the early flat head radiators split into two separate sections left-right? I want put lower radiator hose drains on. Do I need a drain on each side or will one drain work?

Re: radiator
Only the core is split. The tanks are single chamber, so only one drain is needed.

Re: radiator
Were all years split cores 32-53 or were the later ones not split?

Re: radiator
Rockfla, I think you are correct. Does it have something to do with the radiator on these models sitting lower and the hand crank passing through the core area?

Re: radiator
Answer to 39Topless My block drains will not come out and there is no drain in the radiator. If you cut a small section out of the lower radiator hose and install pipe with a petcock you have a lower radiator hose drain.
