Default Rear door glass removal and replacement

I have one cracked glass on rear door on my 55 Ford Sedan and need to remove the cracked glass and replace it. I have the handles and panel off but not sure how to remove the glass. On Chevys I have replaced the glass and did not have any problems, but not sure on the Ford. Are there any tricks to it, like what screws to remove, rollers to unhook, etc. Not sure how to remove window channel from rollers. Any help is appreciated.

Roll it all the way down, the rollers have a clip similar to the clip in the door handle put your thumb and forefinger on both sides of the roller so it won't fly apart then pull out the clip, tilt the glass upward front first and push up it will be a good idea to have a helper outside the car to guide it out as you push up.

Got the rear glass out. Was not that easy, no room to work in there but I managed. Now ready to lube everything up and purchase a new glass then try to install it.

At least on my 'bird, you could assemble the rollers in the track, and then "pop" the pins back into them. Way easier trying to assemble them inside the door.

That's the way to go when you re-install.

Tape around the openings in the door... hope you haven't sliced yourself up yet. I had them all out in my Ford... lots of fun.

Got the glass out. Got a new piece cut at local glass shop. Will install when I return back home in a couple days. I did clean everything up and lubed all parts while in there.

How is the glass channel and fuzzies? These are the biggest cause of broken glass, especially with old glass that has been slam-cycled thousands of times.

Got the glass back in and took the advise of assembling the rollers in the runs before dropping the glass in. Thanks for the help.
