Cylinder head ID ?
I took some pics of the cylinder head off my '28 before sending it to the machine shop.
How does one ID a stock head versus high-compression / aftermarket heads ? I did not find any obvious markings cast or stamped into the head. Attached are some pics... gasket failed between # 3 & # 4. Thanks, SC Frank |

A lot of original heads have a small trinagle on the top.
I think it is near the water outlet. Pluck |

Looking at the shape of the combustion chamber, it looks stock.
You might want to post some pictures of the top of the head, especially pics of any casting marks. |
