Thanks for the information Tom. I think it goes back to what I said earlier about defining the "first Model A". It could be the car with engine number A1, or the first car off the line, or it could simply mean the first car released to the public. I would be willing to bet that Will Rodgers' car was just a random low numbered car that he received before they officially went on sale.

Unfortunately I'm afraid that this is one of those things that I doubt we'll ever get everyone to agree on.
