Default Bubba or anybody

I know truck crab dist were cast iron,were they painted black,need to know??? ken ct.

I've had a few of them, I never see any trace of paint on them. I paint them black after glass beading. Walt

I have always made them black as well. Like Walt says , never noticed paint on them.
Wonder why the difference truck vs car ?????

Maybe same reason most trucks had CI heads and CI intake,might have been cheaper for Henry to cast in CI instead of alum. ken ct??
