47 Ford Trunk emblem
Looking for a picture of what an original trunk emblem mounting stud/bolt assembly looks like. Mine has been repaired with epoxy holding the studs/bolt & broke. Trunk has 3 holes for 3 mounting bolts but mine only had 2 & the repo ones only have 2. I understand the original Ford emblem used 3 with some sort of mounting plate.

Re: 47 Ford Trunk emblem
Here's mine. Mounting plates were originally brazed on but have all broken off so I secured them with epoxy. It's lasted for 7 years now and 50,000 miles.

Re: 47 Ford Trunk emblem
Thanks Old Henry , I will make up some stainless mounting plates with studs/bolts & try silver soldering or tack welding them in. They look to be 1/4 inch studs/bolts.

Re: 47 Ford Trunk emblem
Silver solder should work. The stainless will discolor a little from the heat , but it should buff right out.
