Re: Extended Cab
Kool, extending the cab through the doors gives you the added leg room to get in & out, which is helpful in the later years of life.

Re: Extended Cab
Note the bucket hanging underneath the wishbone! For moonshine or leaky oil?

Re: Extended Cab
It appears the guy driving likely needs the extra size of the cab.

Re: Extended Cab
Here is one from the 2010 Model A New England meet. A young guy from PA extended the cab enough for his 6' 6" frame could fit inside.

Re: Extended Cab
There's a guy here who makes extended cabs for '28/9 pickup cabs for hot rodders.. He refuses to sell to a restorer. Go figure.

Re: Extended Cab
I guess we are lucky here as I have seen vendors that have them for sale.

Re: Extended Cab
Maybe he supplies your vendors and part of the deal is that he not sell direct.

Re: Extended Cab
Last time I spoke to him, he was selling bodies to anyone who fronted up with the cashola. He didn't care if you were a rodder or a restorer.

Re: Extended Cab
Not really, just like the extra room when you're six foot plus. Bought my 6-1/2" cab extensions through Bert's...made by Howell.
