Default Pickup rear bumper brackets

There is a listing on eBay for what is described as "original" rear bumper arms for a model A pickup. The auction ended yesterday. I didn't think Ford ever made bumper arms for pickups. The arms appears to be for 30/31 bumperettes. Does anyone know if Ford ever made rear bumper arms for pickups? The arms look like they are made fairly well.

The link to the listing is below.

Never heard of rear bumper for pickups. I was thinking they may have been
for a AA hearse but I guess not.

Pickups never had rear bumpers. They are on the same frame as passenger cars so passenger bumper will fit, but the bed will stick out farther than the bumper. Don't know what the parts in your picture are.

Ford did not make bumper brackets for pickups.

Any pickups that have rear bumpers have used modified brackets from another body style.

From other sources, the "pickup bumper arms" appear to really be 30/31 bumper arm extensions when a trunk is installed on a model a passemger car. The rear bumperettes would need to be moved back to allow the trunk to fit. It kind of makes since.

These don't stick out as much as they should, but they will save a rear fender buckle. Only mod was for the rear brace.

This is with a 6" extension as described in post #5 above.
This puts the bumper just far enough forward that the tail gate can be lowered all the way without hitting the bumper.

How does the local P.D. feel about covering up the tag?

No problems for 5+ years. Although, I probably do need to do something about that.

Not 100% sure, but I think those are ambulance and hearse rear bumper braces. They had very unique rear bars that were angled like those brackets would have.
