June 7 - Sharon WI - Model A Day
It's like stepping back in time as hundreds of Model A's and their owners transform the tiny town of Sharon Wisconsin. The town itself starts the picture of the 1930's with the sleepy small town look with small shops and building facades but when you add blocks and blocks of Model A's lining the streets and parks, bands playing in the central park and the smell of all kinds of food the time warp is complete.
Model A Day is hosted by Historic Downtown Sharon and the Rock-Ford A's on the first Sunday in June. This year the date is June 7th from 9:00AM to 2:00PM in downtown Sharon Wisconsin. An event for everyone. Bring the family. Bring the neighbors. Bring the cat on a leash. Bring your chapter. Too far for your A? Bring yourself in a modern horseless carriage but come and enjoy the day. Come for the cars! Come for the fashion! Come for the dancing! Come for the SWAP meet! Come for the food! (It's Model A's...of course there is food) Come for the music! Come for the good times and conversations. Come for the stories! Come for the antiques! (in the shops...not walking the streets  )Come for the fun! Come for the..... well, you got the idea yet? There be Model A's... how can you go wrong? |

A few people in our club are going this year. Someday I'll go with them. It sounds like a great time. Seeing the pictures makes me wish I could go. I hope to see more later.

June 6th is our club's pancake breakfast and mystery tour.
Maybe I can talk them into a two day mystery tour to Sharon, Wisconsin.

Forcast was the same last year. Temperature and overcast made the day pleasant and, being one of the last to leave, not only did not I not have any weather issues but took the 2 tank return trip home.
Even mother nature loves A's! |

Model A Day was another success. Didn't look good in the morning, but turned out to be a good day. Fiddlybits did you make it?

Today was my first time at the event. My five year old and I met the Illinois marc and headed over to Sharon. Had a great time, excellent event. I was personally very impressed with the turn out especially considering the early forecast. Glad a lot of folks realize that our Model A's don't melt in the rain! Looking forward to next year
