K R W Key Cutter
I have a K R Wilson key cutter, I also have all the Model A key codes.
After cleaning and calibration ( I do not have a after picture ) it makes perfect model A keys every time. I have the plates for early V8 keys but I do not have any early V8 Key Codes. Where can I find early V8 key codes, or what books have these codes in them. Curtis makes hundreds of code books, which ones have early V8 codes, or does someone have a book for sale. |

Re: K R W Key Cutter
You'll find Curtis code books will be specific to Ford, GM, etc.
Early Ford keys were manufactured by Briggs & Stratton, Hurd, and probably other key makers. You may have luck searching keys and cross reference to the specific vehicle make and year. Reed code books are another source and may be helpful. Suggest you look on ebay

Re: K R W Key Cutter
1930 Coupe,
What you want is the early Curtis Automotive Key Code Books. The early books listed most makes, in later years they produced books for specific brands and years. Look for the 22nd addition or an earlier addition. They cover most makes. Ebay will have the early additions of the book now and then. Ed |

Re: K R W Key Cutter
Had some request for after pictures.
The first key that I made on it would not work, I miked the depth and spacing of the cuts and they were not even close to wright. After cleaning, lubing and calibration of depth and spacing of cuts, now every key works perfect every time. This machine works very good if lubed and calibrated properly. |

You might want to contact Don Rogers on the early V8 site... he has the same set-up and I think he has early V8 codes. |
