Default 32 v8 gas pedal question

Trying to reconvert b gas pedal back to v8. Can anyone show or tell me what type of fitting was under the small cover at the gas pedal? The b had two eye bolts housing the pedal rod but the v8 has only one in the middle of firewall. Seems like there should a second or was the cover used to hold the rod. Appreciate your ideas.

The little triangle shaped cover held the pedal end while the eyebolt held the other end

Note that the tube has to be oriented correctly...the part under the cover has a D-shaped portion that goes with flat side against the firewall.
