Default Please help to ID 30-32 pickup?

I recently saved this drag truck from an old closed yard in Arizona.
I was told it is a 31. I am not sure personally. It has been in this condition since the mid to early 60s. I rolled it up on the trailer with a few junk tires just to get it home. I will start to put it back to what it was in the early 60s at some point this Spring. Do to how far from stock it has been taken, the direction we are going is the only practical choice.
I looked at a 31 today that is very different in construction than ours.
Any help to ID this truck would be great.
Thanks in advance for any insight.
John

I am no expert but, it looks like a 32. It's on 32 rails, the best I can tell.

I'm no expert either, but it's not a '31. I'd guess that it's a 32 or 33.

That is a '33 or '34 cab on a same year frame. Long ways to go to bring this one back. You are lucky to have the doors. They are getting super expensive now.

I'd try to trace the trucks racing history. If you find out is was a good runner in its day restore it to its best race day appearance. Plenty or restored and rodded trucks out there, but any vehicle with race history is unique and worth restoring.

Thanks to all that responded. I know that this is more of a stock/purist site that is why I asked here (I wanted correct info). I have been an auto restorer for over 25 years and I have learned to ask those that preserve the "heritage" when you need a correct answer. Thanks again.
This truck will not be a rat rod as it will be painted.
We do also have some old drag pictures from around the southwest that appear to be this truck.
There are no ID plates or stamps anywhere on this truck, so I needed the year for new state vin tags. I will be replacing the frame as that is heavily modified (wrong) and too rusted for me.
Is there a specific model for this truck?
Is the bed the correct length?
Who would have replacement sheet metal parts? I can make them but I would like to save some time.
Thanks.

From the "modified" part of this site, I would say the bed has been shortened, probably where the front and sides come together. The floor of the cab was cut out and the body 'channelled' over the frame, to lower the body.

The cowl vent has been cut out as well as what had remained of the original firewall (which were often butchered by the racers to accomodate the race engine). The cab does not appear to be chopped.

You might start a new thread on the 'Early V8' Ford Barn Board and use your last post as a starting place.

Good luck, neat project.

The bed looks to have been shortened, which is a Model A bed not a 32-34 style bed.

You can get quite a few sheet metal parts from any number of the major parts houses like Sacramento Vintage Ford, CW Moss, etc
