Ford Assembly Line
I do not recall this being posted but if a repeat please forgive me. This you tube video of the Ford assembly line from the model T to the year 1936, I drooled over the fender making department so many perfect fenders! Enjoy. bobbycoke https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yK1j487IED0

Re: Ford Assembly Line
Great video !
But why does that guy stick the pistons in the cylinders with the connecting rods out the top? About 8 1/2 min into the video |

Re: Ford Assembly Line
good pickup I missed that the first two times around , also the connecting rods have the bottoms on? Maybe this station just puts the parts in prior to assembely of the crank further down the line as I once saw a picture of dozens of completed blocks "run in" [hooked up to electric motors] before final instillation,as all motor work is done when it reaches the line.....bcoke
