Wind wings
Does anyone but me ever have trouble keeping their wind wings tight on the hinges? Seems like all the time I have one coming lose and it's a wonder I haven't lost one or broke one. It's the original hinges that came on the vehicle. I've super glued the rubber to the glass and that stays in place but the clamp's always seem to slip off on long trips.

Re: Wind wings
OK, you're talking about the clamps and not the hinge itself. It's probably a common problem. I had the same problem and found that the angle [flat/parallel] of the clamp made all the difference. You're probably afraid to tighten them too much, me too. Once it's right just add some lock-tite just to make sure.

Have the stamped pieces been bent? A&L are making them new now so you can get replacements.

Re: Wind wings
Mine are brass castings. I think they maybe original to the roadster pickup but not sure. I have changed the angle of the clamp to the rubber fit. Also changed the flat screw driver screws to stainless socket head cap screws that I can really put the torque too but still have lots of problems.
