Default Interior Question

Just finished sewing up my headliner for my 30 2 door sedan, turned out surprisingly well. Will be picking out material for door panels and back seat panels. I have 2 questions, what material is good for the backing of panels and has anyone made wooden trim for the other areas ? I have some very nice black walnut, I can plane down to thickness. Any thoughts and recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks Larry

Go to a auto trim shop and ask for 'panel board'. It is about 1/8 " thick and can be sewn to.
Where in NY are you located? My nephew has a lot of it in his shop in Hyde Park.
