Default 1955 Ford Wiper Switch

My wife's '55 two speed wiper switch is getting a bit hard to turn. I've googled it to try and find a new one, repo or possible conversion but to no luck. Does anyone know where I can find an NOS, repo or one out of another vehicle that will work?

Casio has them for the bird, I'm sure they'd know if they work or can be adapted for a car.

Or try C & G Ford parts, they have loads of wiper parts for our cars.

I had a very stiff switch in my Aust 58 which was using a Newport engineering wiper setup. I installed the switch without the extension shaft which caused the tightening of the nut to push the switch body against the back edge of the dash. The 55 dash is double skinned at this point. I recently purchased their extension shaft and this immediately allowed the switch to function smoothly. If you don't have the extension shaft which cost about $15 from memory I suggest you get one before you replace the switch. It may allow the switch to work freely but nevertheless you'll need it for whatever switch you get.

Yes, if you have the Newport wiper motor you need the extension. I bought their bezel tool as well.
