If you want accurate technical data with photos for an authentic restoration or repair work, accompanied with a good technical description of any part for your Model 'A restoration project, then this is the book for you. Forget all the line drawings and mistakes in other black and white books. This A/4 book of 440 pages is all in colour and nicely spiral bound to lie flat on the workshop bench. All original Ford parts numbers are given showing all parts as most Model 'A' parts suppliers still use today. Makes purchasing your new parts a breeze.
Printed in the USA giving detailed descriptions on the following: Vehicle dismantling. Chassis straightening. Complete restoration of all mechanical parts, firstly determining any areas of wear and then repair. Assembly of major components to the chassis, such as restored front end, engine, gearbox and diff. (The diff restoration is a whole chapter on its own and is very comprehensive). Adding all miscellaneous components to the chassis in order to undertake the first start up, ie water-pump and fan blade, generator, radiator and shell, headlights, horn etc. Important first start up procedure is covered. Wiring diagrams for RHD and LHD. Fitting the exhaust system correctly. Converting to 12 volts if required. Body work and woodwork including body block positioning on the chassis. Fitting the body to the chassis and door alignment. (Easier said than done.)
To keep the book to an economical size, not all body styles could be undertaken and a body style, a 1930 Roadster was chosen as a more common example. Also covered in full, the fitting of tubes, tyres and wheel alignment. Purchasing and fitting original type upholstery kit. Chrome work and nickel work and preservation of. Adjusting the following: Brakes, clutch, headlights, carburetor, ignition timing, toe in and out, steering boxes (2 types) generators, water-pump, horn, fuel tank, dash panel, hood bows and top, bonnet, rumble lid, and more. There is an excellent trouble shooting section if problems arise and you can contact me if you have any questions. To make life easy, PayPal is a good way of payment. Just send me an email and I will also include a free Model 'A' book gift.
My printer is located in WA abd sends straight to your door.
A few random pictures from the book are shown.
