1931 Roadster with holes in doors
I recently bought a 31 roadster from an online estate auction and I have a question about the holes in the doors. My guess is that the ones on the beltline were possibly for side curtains? Not sure about the purpose of the hole in the top of the door.
Thanks in advance for any guidance. Ray Rice, enjoying the weather with the top down, in Rifton. |

Re: 1931 Roadster with holes in doors
Once you install the correct sockets into the holes on the side you will be able to snap in your side curtains. LeBarron Bonney probably has them (http://www.lebaronbonney.com). The hole in the top takes a metal rod that is part of the side curtain assemble. They should be in the LeBaron Bonney catalog.

Charlie, thanks for the quick reply. My curiosity is satisfied, I can't imagine why I would want to install sidecurtains--this is a sunny day, top down, kind of vehicle.
