Default Gold gauge panel paint

I am restoring a gauge cluster for a 50 F1. Making good progress but stalled out on the gauge panel. I have three panels, all with varying degrees of blemishes. One just has a small dot that needs touched up to a corner that needs touched up, but the cross hatch is good across 99% of all 3 panels. I have tried various tans and almonds but none matched. I took the panel into the store today and realize that it’s actually a gold shade and found a wheel paint an exact match. Problem is that the wheel paint is actually metallic, looks like most golds available are. I am going to take the panel to PPG and see if they can mix up something close. Anybody know a source of a non-metallic gold shade paint in a spray can? I bought a touch up pen in similar shade, but it’s also glittery/has flake in it. Afraid that will stand out like a sore thumb.

Trouble is that the flake color determines the paint color. Look for gold with the smallest flake. Consider gold base for use with candy colors.

Thanks guys. I am fortunate in that my local auto parts store can still mix paint. Going to take the best panel down to them and get them to match as close as possible. Will report back on the effort.
