Default Best Fordbarn tip for you

Every day I learn something new here on the barn. I have read often someone writing "great idea", "I have that written down at my bench now" etc.

What is (to date) the single best tip, or piece of knowledge, you have gained from the Fordbarn forum?

Unless you are a masochist, don't fit whitewalls or paint your wheels any other colour than black.

1-Don't ask what type of oil to use.

2-Buy the STANDARDS manual. ..(often mistakenly referred to as the judging manual )

I found out about Bert's in Denver from this site. A visit there was worth the 1000 mile drive each way.

No doubt about it...Learning about Oscar U Zerk is at the top of my list. I have passed that knowledge on to all the coffee shop guys. Yesterday I preached the story to the check-out line at Walmart. Thank You Ford Barn

Hey Fiddlybits, You made me second guess myself. I had to go back and check to see exactly what the "book" is called or titled. I don't see the word MANUAL anywhere in the title but Judging and Standards are. The correct and full title is, "Model A Restoration Guidelines & Judging Standards". Thanks for keeping us on our toes.

Mike,

Too many to truly list but when removing my rusted/frozen distributor set screw the advice of slow easy tapping with a screwdriver won the day on that issue..So with old nuts and bolts time vs force is a lesson I'll keep.
