Default 1931 Pop-out

I was wanting to put my 31 Roadster back to a stock pop-out switch, and was wondering if earlier years would also fit. I searched the forums and googled the world but wasn't quite sure how it changed over the years. Can I use one from an earlier year?

Also - having issues locating one. Spotted one on Ebay for a scary amount of money but not even sure what year it is from. Is there someone out there that refurbs and deals with these?

Thanks

28-29 are different than 30-31. If you have a 30 with an oval speedo it will take the same switch as 28-29.

Ray
the early 30 with the oval speedometer uses the same pop switch body and key BUT the cable is longer than the 28-29. I have already made that mistake once.

Thanks John. I remembered something about the cable length but I couldn't remember exactly what it was, and didn't want to post incorrect or misleading info. That's why I only referenced the switch, and I figured someone would give a better answer. You rightly filled in the missing piece. Ain't this site great?

I'll give Dick Crabtree my recommendation. I purchased one from him recently and am very happy. I also got original key's with it.
