Look under the dash at the speedo back. You should see a keeper setup which if removed will allow the speedo to come out the front.

Pls check your sources Als48. The entire instrument cluster removes from the back of the dash on my 50, it will not go out the front. The speedometer head is screwed into the back of the cluster, to be removed from the back of the cluster. I did loosen and pull away the dash from mine to access it, not that difficult. If you remove the seat you can probably remove the head and or the cluster. Or hire a very small multijointed person to remove it.
