1933 Torque Tube ?
Well we just re-installed the transmission after getting new shift forks from Mac. It appears that my oil leak was not coming from the trans but possibly from the rear differential. Oil could be seen dripping from the tube when we pulled the rear axle assembly from the trans. Now I know that too much oil in the axle could cause this, but I put in exactly what the specs call for, 2 pints.
My question is this, what are the parts shown in the exploded diagram of the "Passenger Rear End & Torque Tube Assembly" numbered 17285, 17290, 4645, 4655, and 4245? Are any of these grease seals that prevent oil from flowing towards the trans? |
