Default 1931 Model A SW 4D TS Body Restoration

What color is the firewall?
Is it black?
Or is it the color of the body?
I intend to paint the color of the body burgundy. So will the firewall be the same as the body?

Thanks,

same as body colour but not polished to high gloss - probably more of a dull - I can not remember the proper terminology (colour before a clear coat is put on)

The body was painted with lacquer paint. It was buffed out on the outer body. The other areas would be a flat look.

Early paints were sort of muddy in their colors and the shine was not deep like you get with modern single stage paints. The BC/CC paints will always have a real deep shine.

I painted my car's body with single-stage paint. For the underside, interior, firewall, etc. I added some flattening agent to get a semi-gloss.
