Big south swap meet run
I enjoyed the Hershey report(s) and pics, and Runnerbun's trip.
Sort of gives me a glimpse on what to expect when I do finally get over there . I am heading off today to do 5 swaps in 25 days. Namely Canberra, (prob not much, but it's on the route ), then Croydon in Melbourne, this one I was told by a mate who stumbled onto this only last year, and was amazed at all the model A and early V8 stuff there, so I am looking forward to this one , then a small country swap at Romsey, (never been to this one either ), then the grand daddy of them all (to us in OZ ).....Bendigo, then onto Queanbeyan which is evolving into a good swap and an American car extravaganza . I will try and take plenty of pics that may be of interest to barners and post when I am in between swaps. Also picking up a couple of ebay purchases, namely a 38 flatty and box, and a pair of 28 roadster rear fenders . Paid $400 for motor/box and $100 each for fenders, always exciting to see if they are as good as the pics I relied on. cheers Last edited by pooch; 10-30-2014 at 03:55 PM. |

Got a very good lead to some A parts to go look at this arvo. This was an interesting 28 pickup old skool rod with a banger fitted . There was a 38 ? panel delivery there but was a rod underneath, so I guess you guys do not want pics of that . riley1.JPG riley2.JPG |
