Default KRW timing fixture question

After setting the left set of points for 22 1/2 deg, and having set the timing indicator at the center of marks prior to setting the 22 1/2 deg, locking the wheel and setting the 45 deg mark at the firing line.then move the timing mark till buzzer stops should set the timing to 4 deg. The problem ( maybe) is the marks are 2 deg therefor 2 marks should be 4 deg.I barley move the timing indicator and buzzer stops.maybe 1 mark,is this anything to worry about. Would new or used points make a diff,.

Ignore the timing marks. Once you set the points at 22 1/2, then move the timing index screw (where the marks are) so that the points break.

The marks are 2 degrees of Distributor rotation which equals 4 degrees crankshaft (sounds like you're doing it right but misinterpreting the marks) ... do not expect the timing marks to be on the money. The important thing is that the points break accurately on the wheel. Do not attempt to use the marks to readjust; the fixture presets the initial advance for you.

K R wilson instructions were written by the same guys who write the IRS guides.

Glad you said that, Hoop. I thought I was the only one that thought the KRW instructions were tough to follow.
