help find a stolen model t
Hi someone stole this model t lets put the word out and find the low life. This happen in Kiln Mississippi near New Orleans
Jolene; While in Kiln, I brought one of my wrestling brothers to see the antique cars at mom's house. When I got there, the barn was open. It always stays locked, so I ran. As soon as I got inside, I noticed that my 1923 Model T was missing. You could see the tracks where it was maneuvered out. We have dealt with the police, but I ask that all of my friends keep a lookout. My dad and I built the car from parts when I was little. I started driving it at age 4, & drove it for dad's funeral. This is the car that I have tattooed on my back. This car is the single worldly possession that means the most to me. If anyone comes across it, please contact me immediately! Even though Henry Ford said that you could have any color, as long as it was black; my dad was different. Chitty was turquoise with black fenders & cream colored wire wheels The VIN is 6865059h |

Re: help find a stolen model t
Allen .................
Let's hope that someone finds this "T" and the scumbag that stole it. It, probably, has gone to the "hotrod" world to become a hot rod. They, probably, only wanted the body, but the parts might show up for sale, somewhere. We know to look for a turquoise hood and cream colored wire wheels. The black fenders will not stand out, anywhere. I'll watch at the Turkey Run Swap Meet in November. MIKE |

Re: help find a stolen model t
The remark about it going to the "hot rod "world was uncalled for. I own both, and really take exception to this.

Not sure if it's just me but the picture you posted isn't coming through. you should post on the Hamb just incase it is being parted out for a hot rod.

Also, you might try posting on the other two model T sites. MTFCA and MTFCI I think they get a lot more readers than this one. Willie |

Re: help find a stolen model t
My brother-in-law has been working on a 1912 out of his barn in Iowa and had to go into the hospital for some surgery lately. When he came back the door had been forced open and his wheels, steering column, radiator, and lamps stolen - they left the rest of the chassis and body. The thieves knew what to take for maximum value and minimum time. Just makes you sick...

Re: help find a stolen model t
I ran a search on ebay and came across a roadster for sale out of Shevlin
ad #360491430295. You may want to check it out and see if it's the same car as it looks too nice to be pieced out. The seller is also selling other parts that look related to the car. Best of luck and I hope you get your car back. |
