Parts suppliers
Just thought I would share an occurrence today:
I needed a pair of head gaskets for an 8ba. I wanted Best graphite. So I called my first vendor as always, Joblots. They did not have them and might be 2 weeks wait. So then I called another popular vendor and he did not have them but thought he could get a set from Joblots. I explained they did not have them. So I called another good vendor and he did not have them. Said he gets his from Mac's. Then I called Lou G at Early Ford and he had them. The point I am making is that I "think" that many of the smaller vendors get their parts "wholesale" from Mac's and resell them. Maybe most early Ford parts originate at Mac's?? Just a thought, maybe I am wrong. John |

Re: Parts suppliers
Most of the retailers get their parts from the same place. Yes, Mac's is one of the manufacturers, same with Joblot, Carpenter, Vintique, Drake. Some parts may be available from a couple places but most parts originate from a single manufacturer. Some places just keep more on the shelf than others. I've been in the business for 10 years now and am still astonished at the amout of parts reproduced for these old cars. I know some of the quality isn't always the greatest but it's better than no part at all.

Re: Parts suppliers
I believe NAPA has them, though maybe not what brand you wanted.
